The company is willing to bid for the second phase of the 18-billion-baht USO broadband project, scheduled for auction in March. The NBTC plans to expand the USO Net project through its second phase to serve the government's policy to eliminate the digital divide in remote areas. "For the second phase, ITEL aims to grab part of the project, worth 3 billion baht, as the scheme requires seamless connectivity in the first phase," he said. Mr Nuttanai said the company expects revenue from its data communication service will contribute 80% of total revenue by 2023, up from 60%. ITEL is expanding capacity for its data centre hosting system to serve high growth demand from local enterprises.
